CELEBRITY/FAN SOCIAL MEDIA STUNT ACTIVATION
Hollywood Branded partnered with Jason Derulo’s team and his label, Warner Music Group, to create a celebrity stunt for Valentine’s Day, providing the R&B artist the opportunity to surprise his girlfriend Jordin Sparks by presenting her with ‘10,000 PassionRoses’ to fill a hotel suite. On the morning of 2/14/14 at the Redbury Hotel in Los Angeles, Hollywood Branded joined Jason Derulo’s team to cut, prepare, and arrange the roses before Jason and Jordin’s arrival.
The surprise was successfully executed, prompting an organic and teary eyed overwhelmed response from Jordin, who immediately took to social media to express her excitement. Jason Derulo also used social media to show off his above-and-beyond gesture, as well as express his gratitude, including a special call out to PassionRoses, for helping to make the surprise possible.
Not only was the story the talk of Valentine’s Weekend and a viral hit, but numerous major press outlets quickly picked up the story, and even did print spreads. Additionally, Jason’s team released a video on YouTube on 2/18/14 including time lapse footage of the activation build out, along with photos of the final result of the rose-filled room and his ecstatic recipient.
