(September 15, 2009) (Los Angeles, CA) Productions Branded, a division of Hollywood Branded Inc., has been hired by Paramount Pictures to oversee all product placement and brand integration for the upcoming film, Dinner For Schmucks.
Steve Carell and Paul Rudd star in this remake of director Francis Veber’s César award-winning 1998 comedy concerning a renowned publisher, who encourages his friends to find the most pathetic guests possible for their weekly dinner party. In the remake, when a rising executive (Paul Rudd) finds out that his work superiors host a dinner celebrating the idiocy of their guests, he questions it when he’s invited, just as he befriends a man (Steve Carell), who would be the perfect guest.
Productions Branded will provide services for the production, including product placement and paid integration and source backend promotional partners. The results of these efforts could potentially help save Paramount Pictures hundreds of thousands of dollars in production costs.
